COMMUNITY WORK | SCHNEIDER CHILDREN HOSPITAL
In 2012 marking 20 years for Schneider Medical Center for children I volunteered to document over several weeks the daily routine and the special moments. I accompanied with my camera the great medical dramas and small human moments, the minutes of stress and emotional strain, the hopes and concerns parents and family ties formed between doctors and nurses. The project was formed into a book called "Heartbeat" and was displayed in an exhibition both in Israel and in Geneva.
In 2017, five years after "Heartbeat" project was done one of the children's mother approached me for photos of her daughter from the project. Hearing about her recovery has prompt me to go back to the medical center and take pictures of the children from the project who recovered and are nowadays living outside the hospital.
